Building & Water Regulations
Building and Water Regulations affect both the manner and quality of work undertaken. We adhere to current regulations, monitor changes in legislation and ensure that the building and plumbing work we undertake meets all the statutory requirements. Where appropriate, we are able to arrange for inspection and certification by your local Building Control department.
Qualified Contractors
Where required, we use only sub-contractors with the relevant qualifications and experience. This includes, among others:
Electrics
All electrical work is carried out to conform to current BSI and 16th edition IEE Regulations. From the appropriate date, all our electrical sub-contractors will be certified under the “Competent Person” scheme that comes into force with Part P of Building Regulations on January 1st 2005. For further details, see www.partp.co.uk or www.odpm.gov.uk. Most electrical work is carried out by NICEIC-registered electricians. You can specify this qualification during the initial consultation.
Gas
Corgi-registered plumbers for any gas plumbing.
Windows:
All window installations are carried out either by FENSA-registered window installers or by Craftmaster working under Building Control supervision.
Federation of Master Builders
Craftmaster is a member of the Federation of Master Builders. The FMB is a trade association that hold its members to high standards of professional competence and accountability. The FMB operates a formal complaints procedure in the event that you are unable to resolve an issue with Craftmaster directly.

We are building a photo record of our work. This will allow you to see not only the finished product, but to make “before and after” comparisons and review our work in progress.

Channel Four
Craftmaster has recently been featured on Channel Four’s Property Ladder with Sarah Beeny. This project called for a total refurbishment. Craftmaster Interiors is well placed to undertake such complex work, either as part of a bathroom project or as a stand-alone project.
